complete guess figure 40.00 for the pair

Sounds about right, I paid $58 / pair when I had them made for the GP, and that was a small order.

As for the brackets... I know I've said this before, but the parts I actually sent HotRodV6 were the aluminum template for the flange and a tack welded buck that was used for dimensioning purposes.

So far as I know, there have been no problems with any of the brackets I sold in the old GP, even if they were "cobbled together". I appreciate you guys who have been watching my back on this

I had a feeling when he sayed he had to go bend the brackets that he was doing this all wrong if you bend it apply the e-brake cable it will slowly start to bend back.

He got tired of getting banded from every other web site and slappeds some SH*T together and was hoping it would all be over

Good lord. I felt bad for my shaft GP taking so long but the product was astounding. Yes. The stuff I do is custom and takes time but I DAMN sure make certain to the best of my ability that the person gets MORE than what they paid for. Those look like crap AND they don't fit. I can't believe I had guys chewing me out for taking too long and you guys are settling for this? No freaking way. HRV6, you can snap back at me all you want, there is NO excuse for what you have done. None.

Ok, i want to give everybody an update on these kits, i was planning on placing the order for the cables on monday, but i have been looking into redesigning the end that hooks to the ebrake lever on the backing plate, and while the original design works, i wanted to get more of a factory type LS1 end on the cable, just to make install alittle easier and all that. So i have been talking to the place that is making them and they have the correct LS1 type end, they just ordered some and they wont be in till the middle of next week, so this will set the cables back by about a week, so hopefully 7-10 days by the end of next week at the latest i wil have the cables back and ready to ship everything out.

I hate to make you guys wait any longer than absolutly needed, but i also think that this will make the kits a lot better, and feel the wait will def be worth it.

I will send a pm to everybody that has placed an order telling them the same thing.

I hate to think that this post was made a year and a month ago.
The memories.

Wow i just saw those pics. I'm pretty sure I could go make those in an hour in my intro to welding class. Actually I could spend 2 minutes with a grinder and clean them up. Damn dude I was really hoping you would pull through with nice brackets and people wouldn't mind the long wait, but those are pitiful.

Yeah, well everybody is a critic, yes the brackets arent super straight and pretty laser cut pieces, not all of us have access to a laser cutter or water jet. Everybody is acting like this is the piece that will be stopping your truck everytime you hit the brakes. Lets be real most of us never use the parking brake, especially with an auto trans, and the LS1 F-body parking brake was never intended to be used to stop the vehicle, thats why they call it a parking brake, not an emergency brake. Most will only be used when they are checked to make sure they work come inspection time. My brackets are stronger than the original design, and i feel the cable design is much better than the original as well. I mean everybody wants to throw there .02 cents in, and nobody has even installed there kit to see that it will function fine, and the brackets arent going to fold up or anything, and for everybody saying there is all this pressure on the cables is full of BS, its not like in the drum brake where you have to overcome all the spring pressure holding the shoes in, the little internal shoe has no springs and doesnt take hardly any pressure to apply enough force to apply the brake and hold the truck.

If you paid $100 for an item, you would expect something nicer than that. I wouldn't have been happy. Hell, I would have sent it back. You should have include a bottle vaseline with the bracket, because you screwed them over with a substandard part.

Well it seems that everybody forgets that i ordered one of the kits from the original GP from jjorgeson and that took awhile to get the kit, and i was very dissappointed in the brackets that i got, they were not cutr out very well, had no penatration on the welds, and just look cobbled together. And for the 200 bucks i had spent, i was pretty disappointed. Now im not saying that it wont work, becasue my Ty broke the crank before i got the rear disk swapped on, im sure they will work just fine.

Yes the shoe is the sping, but there isnt that much pressure on it, it takes very litle to apply the parking brake.

Thats because of the mechanical leverage of the brake pedal I have one of those shoes in my car (dont ask) ill go test it to see what amount of pressure it takes to meove it the 1/8 of a inch from proper parking brake engagement Im curious from my own knowledge

So i figured, well if I bought this for $200, I could probably make a whole bunch of them for like $5/ea, have them look like crap, and still charge $200 for the kit. I knew right away I would be able to make a killing off these! Maybe i can even buy a plasma cutter with the profits. Plus the great thing about online sales to a car forum where people stupidly trust me....is I can get people to pay up front and not send them anything for a year.

fixed.

89 lbs of horizontal pull was needed to seperate the shoes 1/8 inch
thats on the cable itself though. I wonder how much pressure is on the cable housing/bracket.
