OOOOOOOH. I just got my first kill lined up. Neighbor from around the street has a 99ish cobra stang. He has seen me work on the truck and slowed down a few times to check it out. he never stoped but i waved at him a few times. He came around the corner (I live 2 houses from end of block) and burned rubber hard. This time he backed up and stoped. He is a young kid. early 20's. he said he drove by yesterday as it was running. He thought it had a V8. He asked me wy i was spending so much time on a s10, let alone a v6 one. He did not look to see the syclone stickers and I decited not to tell him what it was. He did notce the turbo. he said his stang has 400hp. BS with the stuff he said he has done to it. He wants to stree race when I am ready. Sounds like fun.

Working at home today doing paperwork, prints and some pre-fab work. SO that means 2 hours of work and 6 hours on the Sy. LOL. Actualy I took some time to play with the truck. Set timing and restarted. Truck runs better. I put some oil on the rockers and that quieted the truck down. After about 2 min. the oil started to flow.

(HELP)Everything sounds ok except i forgot about the pcv hose that connect to the TB. what should i do with that? should I get a breather with a hose and connect to that?

I jacked up the truck and se only the PS pump leaking so far. I put the trans in R and D and it lurched. I then shut it off and it took another quart of trans fluid. Trans has about 10 quarts so i guess it ready to take it out for a drive. I want to fix the pump first. its leaking and causing smoke. Funny thing is it was doing that before. I will order a new High pressure hose just in case its bad.

problems look to be fixed. Time to take it out and see what else can go wrong.
BTW I love the hood shocks!

It moves! Well it did 10 feet.
Took it out to wash it. no way I was going to drive it all dirty. it needs a wax bad. It was a local event. About 5-6 people asked it "You fixed it" or "it runs now?"...LOL
Since I lived here it only ran for 2 weeks. After that it died.

Sweetness! I'm sending my turbine housing to RPM tomorrow to have it resurfaced and also ordering a new BB 60-1 turbo. Hopefully, #434 will be back on the road within the next few weeks or so. Seeing your truck in the driveway is getting me motivated

whooooo..... Truck went down the street for the first time. It shifted into 2nd at 25mph. seems higher speed then 700 but I guess its the gears. Pulled over and added 1/2 quart to trans. Drove it again. shifted into 2nd again about 20-25mph. this time took it up to 35mph and still in 2nd. pulled over. stick was almost dry. added more fluid and drove it home. Had a weird squeak that sounded like it was comming from the TB or dist. It went away after it warmed up. Listened in valve covers with a hose and it sounded fine. Had some more smoke come from the bottom. I hope its just the rest of the PS fluid thats burning off. Had to replace a bad hose and got fluid on the x-over. Still cant tell if the trans computer is working. If it shifts, is it working?? does it control the shift or just the pressure? I dont know about the tci stuff??

drove my truck a few times today. It feels strong. got on it a bit and boosted to 5lbs. trans is shifting better.
Thanks to all that helped me. I will try to smog it soon. wish me luck

Good luck man. Take her easy for a while so nothing breaks....lol.... I'd check everything out like twice a week to make sure. Especially oil and tranny fluid. You still having voltage problems or did you get a new alternator? How about the leaning out problem?

turned the fp down. Runs fine. Voltage still acts funny. I will try a new battery soon. For now it runs and drives good. My return line from the turbo is close to the x-over. Have to move that, but everything looks good so far and no leaks yet
Still a few weeks away from hitting some serious boost. Work is crazy and time is limmited. Glad I kept it. Cant wait to rip on that stang. He seen me driving it down the street and he had a scared look in his eyes. He still does not know its awd. He takes offense to my plate.LOL

Your dedication and investment to this vehicle are an inspiration. I am pleased you kept it after all the work and hope it performs how you want it to. Don't mind admitting I am jealous of your truck - looks gorgeous and I bet it will run really well very soon.

Ty is in the works. I Still have an idle voltage issue. Just remembered it has a underdrive pulley. could be part the problem. WHen I take the truck around the block the voltage stays high when I pull in at idle.

Problem. My truck sometimes makes a squeaking sound. Sounds like a spun bearing. Sound is comming from rear of engine. louder on drivers side. It comes and goes. not at startup either? Cant figure it out. Would guess a bearing would be at startup?? Thinking a pushrod. They are new. Truck only has 2 miles on new setup. Today I said f-it and drove it hard. I hear a whoopwhoop, pump like sound. louder in the cab. Again I dont know what it is or where its comming from. I am just going to drive it and when it blows, It blows.
So I drove hard today. Well not to bad. I set the boost controler on 10lbs and stomped on it. took it from 0-80 with no launch. It shifts quick!!! wow. real quick. I like it. Nice and firm. 1st hold longer then the 700r. I hit 9.5lbs throughout the run, 20*+ of adv.timming and not one sign of any KR. Truck feels strong. Not as strong as I would like but its only 10lbs. Lower radiator hose has a leak, but thats the only leak I see.
also like the fact that the turbo spools down for 20-30 sec. after shutdown. Sounds cool. and boost is almost instant with this setup.

took the battery back. Auto zone gave me no problems even with no reciept. Free replacement with another opima red top. The old one droped to 10.5 under load and that was after driving 45 min yesterday to charge it. Had to take the rear wheel off.to get to the battery. Also heard a tick yesterday that sounded like an exhaust leak. Sure enough the x-over had a leak.
