My truck has a new home

Well my wife and I sold a couple of our vehicles the past week...gone are the 64 Corvair and my Syclone (#2227). A young man locally bought it and now it's his pride and joy. I recommended he check in on this forum for help and advice. In the meantime my wife bought a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe and I got an 09 HHR SS. If and I get back into these again it will be a Typhoon.

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted on this forum. The guy who bought my Syclone moved away but it looks like he may be back in town. My wife saw what looked like our old Syclone today. Wish I had never sold it:( Oh well, may be another one someday.

If you need anything for the Genesis, I've been a parts manager for a Hyundai dealership for close to 10 years now. The 2013 Coupe should be out next month. Little facelift, and the 2.0t got bumped to 274hp and the V6 is up to 334 iirc.

Seriously considering picking up a 2012-13 Genesis R spec. Bought my wife a 2012 Elantra and we both are quite impressed with the car. Gotta love the Hyundai warranties.

If you are talking about the R-Spec sedan, it is very nice. We've only gotten 1 in so far, and we didn't sell it for a few months so we dealer traded it for a couple Elantras. Our dealership is in the ghetto, so we don't sell a lot of the higher end models. Accents, Elantras, and Sonatas fly off the shelf, and the new Veloster isn't doing too bad either. We have trouble keeping any of those in stock. Doesn't help that Hyundai is having trouble keeping up with production on them either. I've been with Hyundai for almost 10 years now, and our warranty claims are 1/3 what they used to be when I started. We used to do a couple transmissions a week. Now, we do 1 a month, if that often. I did hear that Hyundai was having troubles with the new 8 speed auto they put in the Genesis, but I don't remember what it was. We haven't seen any complaints out of it yet.
