I think the purpose of the poll was to see where the most people would travel to go to nats, not to find the center of the regions.

Everyone who is posting and so concerned with distance needs to remember... Nats 12 is next year, 2011. The reason we've moved it to every other year is to allow anyone who wants to attend time to save up the funds and plan for time off so it's not so big a financial burden.
If everyone starts saving up now, they shouldn't have any problem attending where ever Nats 12 is held.
or catch a Rockies game?
Nats is too much fun. There is NO way you are going to want to leave and catch a game. Just an FYI, so now you have to show up to make sure I am not pulling your leg. Read some of the posts about Nats 11 and the 2008 Homecoming. Check out the pics for Nats 11. Where else are you going to see 2 site famous guys flying thru the air with disregard to all, to land in a row of bushes or see the results of a faceplant with a cigar being the cause. Happy reading and make sure you plan accordingly.
plus by moving it around, people should realize that if its relatively close to you this time, it most likely won't be all that close to you for another 4-6yrs as it hops around the country. This should give everyone even more motivation to make it to the one thats only a 10hr drive, rather than a 25hr drive away.
i'm currently in GA, drove down here in 11hrs (730mi) from 6:30pm to 5:30am on thursday night. it was nowhere near as much fun as ANY caravan to NATS/homecoming that i've been a part of. NATS is a blast, always has been...but, as i'm sure many will attest....the drive TO nats is also part of the fun. 10-15 hr drives go by pretty quickly when done right, and can be a lot of fun in itself. even when someone breaks down it just adds to the adventure. if you haven't road tripped to NATS before...you really should do it at least once just to experience the fun.

The geographical center of North America is about 200 from me.
Don't forget the Canadians!
Are you in Florida yet?
