ATTN : All turbo regal owners and GMC truck owners the date is set for Oct 8th . It's a Bring your own beef event. Nctyphoon will have condiments and charcoal. SloGN will bring ice and drinks (pepsi, MTdew, DR pepper). If you would like to bring something thats ok if not just come on anyhow.

The Agenda for this meet is to meet and say hello to other NC turbo owners of just to say hi to the ones you know. Also to eat and sit around and shoot the $hit. The last thing here is Nctyphoon and SloGN would like to try and get a car club up and running dealing with the Turbo Regals and the SY/TY trucks so maybe we could possibly reserve a spot @Autofair and maybe do some other things as a club.

Location: Vista Point access shelter1 Jordan Lake. (note: this is the last shelter on the left before you reach the boat ramp parking lot) Vista Point access is located on Hwy 64 West out of Raliegh

Time will be from 10:30am until.

Thanks and have a safe trip and we will see ya there.

I think a Turbo V6 club for GN's and Sy/Ty's would be a good idea. That's what it will take to get the minimum number of vehicles required to get back into Autofair. Let me know if I can help.

Thanks Jim! Right now I am digging to see who all we can get interested in going, and write a letter of intent to the speedway. There's so few of us and we're all spread out accross the region. I think combining is the only way to get us back in.

I have met another guy here in columbia with a sy that will be willing to come to all the autofair meet's(he goes to them anyway) and I've got another sy(the 92 sy) now to bring myself. so you can count on me to bring at least 2 or 3 to each meet. and a good friend of mine just moved to charlotte with his sy so maybe I can bring 4 with me.

Re: NC Gathering - Oct 8th Jordan Lake

Thanks for adding into the count! Wish you guys could make it to Jordan, but understandably (spelling?) it's a pretty good haul for you as was the GAST meet for us. I'm in a 3/4 arm cast til at least mid to late November anyway, so I couldn't even bring any of mine to fall AutoFair or Jordan this time, and have to rely on Patrick to get me to them in his GN. I want to see us get back into AutoFair, and with the GN's paired with us we should be able to get enough together to show. Nothing looks meaner, better than all us lined up side by side.I've came in with GMMOC the past few times, and they are a fantastic group of folks, but basically they are an F body club. I'm hoping we hav a good turnout for Jordan despite the lack of post response. That's happened before and we ended up with almost 30 showing up, then too we've ended up with 3 cars there before too, lol. So while I am homebound, I am going to work at getting us back in at Charlotte. I'll keep everybody posted on results!

Jordan Lake - Vista Point access driving directions
Here's directions from my house...for your personalized directions go to Mapquest, click driving directions and put in North Pearidge Church Road, Pittsboro, NC. from your house. This will get you to the only road in and out of Vista Point. When you turn onto N. Pearidge Church Road(there is a stoplight at that intersection, with a Citgo station on the corner of the westbound lane), stay on it ! All the way to just before the last parking area at the boat docks, you will see two little driveways going to the last shelter on the left. That's where we'll be. This is a state park, entrance fee is $5.00/ car load.

Don't know about everyone else BUT a Fri-Sat meet planned this fall in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area would be nice. It's about a 4.5 hour drive from my location but if it were planned out, I know 4 trucks that would be there for sure :). Would give us an opportunity to meet some of you NC/SC/GA folks with GN's and SyTySgt's.

Juice, you need to join up on the NC/SC & close states Yahoo group. GM_TURBO6@yahoogroups.com We have things going on every month! April is beach trip month as well as AutoFair next Saturday at Lowe's Motor Soeedway. We've got all our AutoFair spots booked up, but you are more than welcome to come out & meet some folks. We will be in the grandstand tunnel just above turn 4. We have some tenative cookout dates for Jordan Lake in May, lots more to come! I may also see if some folks want to show at Chocolate Myers car show at RCR enterprises on Apr 29(too busy getting ready for next week!)
Robert! I see you are still holding down the fort in Iraq! You need to get back here and get that Sy in one piece so you can come out & play too

I am tired of rubbing...period!!!! I have spent the last month detailing my 2 for this coming weekend. I just finished the GN a few hours ago. If it doesn't rain cats and dogs I will be surprised. All these clean black vehicles heading to Charlotte have got to bring out the April showers!
