Need help with fire damaged Black/Gray Typhoon

Hey all:

Got an insurance claims adjuster looking at the truck on Monday and need some advice. I feel I just want to get it driveable and probably will end up parting it out. Please read below and any advice would be appreciated as far as what to do or estimated repair to a driveable state. Right now I've only got prints, no digital pics.

I've got a heavily modded Ty. Black with gray cladding. While parked and unoccupied at the beach a fire started in the engine compartment.

Upon returning I found police and fire truck at the Ty with doors open. Damage in the passenger compartment surprisingly isn't not too bad; Windshield shatered hanging and in pieces, driver-side glass broken and rear window broken, passenger-side dash partially melted and deformed.

External damage:
Morgan's beautiful passenger-side fender & scoop is damaged with paint melted off, 3" cowl fiberglass cowl hood melted to strands, pasenger-side cladding half missing. Front bumper melted, front grill melted

Inside engine compartment damage:
Tranny cooler still intact, radiator damaged, Flexalite dual puller fans melted, Permacool single pusher fan melted, any rubber or plastic melted/damaged, engine harness melted, fuel injector harness melted, battery cable insulation melted, plenty of exposed copper with no insulation intact, BOV damaged, Blitz control unit, K&N filter, headlights and harness

What still looks good: - turbo
- ceramic coated turbo housing
- ceramic coated downpipe & headers
- all cladding EXCEPT front bumber & passenger-side fender cladding

bring reciepts for EVERYTHING. Make copies before hand, and when the adjuster asks for copies, say here you go

make sure you don't let the truck leave your house and of it's at a shop or tow yard pay to have it towed to your house. It is the only way that you will be able to fight them.

Was it determined what caused the fire?

I think what Marty is trying to say is that with it at your house, your insurance cant sneak over to your mechanics and look at the truck and try to determine its value without you present.

You have an extensive list of mods. Until you have full value of everything, you need to make sure the insurance waits before they try to give you an estimate.
