Just wanna get things started. Those interested in going from the Northeast and would like to organize some sort of convoy, post here.
I plan on leaving the evening of Wed, June 9th, 2004 and arriving the next evening. Exact time is to be determined later depending on departure location, ect., but I would like to be on the road no later than 8:00pm.
Another option to consider is meeting out in the Pittsburgh area, then its a straight shot down I-70. This way, those coming from NY, MA, PA, N. Jersey, ect, can travel out together, and those leaving from S. Jersey and other parts of PA can meet up later instead of having to drive north an hour or more to meet up, just to drive west.
FWIW, Mapquest was actually very close with my time for last year when I went to S-Series Nationals in KC. It told me 20 hours driving, it took me 24 hours and I stopped and slept for 3 hours in the WV rest area and stopped for breakfast in Ohio as well.
Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.
