Hi, could you tell me a little about your back brakes or where to get them? When you get time.

Hi, could you tell me a little about your back brakes or where to get them? When you get time.

The rear brakes are ls1 brakes off a 2000 camaro with no traction control. I found them from a camaro wrecker in Edmonton Alberta, but paid way to much. I upgraded to baer rear rotors and pads. used the factory park brake with Renz Fab park brake cables and brackets. To install I had to modify the rear landing on the diff so the caliper/park brake bracket would fit. Then I swaped sides on the brackets so the park brake will pull from the front.

Re: pics of my sy #2695

So here is what I have been up to. I got the exhaust back from ceramic coating and installed and took some finessing to get to fit and have to make some hangers since my factory ones were missing. Then once I started the truck I noticed that the alternator was not charging spent a couples hours on diagnosing and found that I forgot to grind off the powdercoat on the alt bracket where it mounts to the engine. I finished that and also made a ground cable off of the alternator as well and bam charging like a champ, but now there is a oil leak from the filter relocation adapter on the block. I tried to used silicone on the o-ring and no luck still leaking, then i got a thicker o-ring and now that leak is repaired and now it is leaking from the lines to the adapter so now I have to repair that and they are new lines and gasket wtf!!, but slowly working away at the fine tuning and soon it will be ready. I reinstalled the hood and installed some dynamat on the underside for heat deflection and vibration damping.

Took the Sy down to the local car show despite the weather (on and off rain but very light rain). Here are some pics I took. Also did not stay long enough to see if the Sy won a award due to heavier rain, but a lot of interest, and I was hung over as balls from my stag the night before.

And a close friends 1964 Chevrolet Impala (probably one of the nicest cars I've seen)

Re: pics of my sy #2695

I started on collecting parts for some more upgrades for the fall and over the winter. Changing out the turbo setup from a 67mm journal bearing, not really sure of the make of the turbo, but was told by Nolan that it was a bolt on turbo from a guy in Surry B.C. and internal waste gate also works with the factory DP. Going with a PTE 6266 dbb and ported S cover, RPM DP, PTE 39mm waste gate, RPM a2a. I am still collecting parts for a 4l80 swap. Will be swapping once the 700r4 craters. I am sure I will be doing more over the winter, so I will be updating some more.
