Re: Quinnster's Syclone 2208 Rebuild
Alright so its been a month since the last update. I took it on a long drive on Christmas day and enjoyed it a ton! I took it up some of the nice twisty roads and it cornered better than I remembered and I don't even have the better wheels and tires on it yet. Truck holds onto the road as fast as I felt comfortable driving it! I continued to enjoy it up until about new years, then the exhaust manifold started leaking pretty bad, so I have to figure out what to do to seal it up for good and keep the bolts from backing out. Loctite red? Maybe I didn't torque the bolts enough?
Another problem I have to figure out is when I bolted up the ZR1 wheels the rears were fine, but the fronts barely rubbed on the new brake calipers. I can still spin the wheel, they just barely Graze each other. Should I get a 1/16" wheel spacer, or shave down the caliper a bit? I also wonder if I would need new wheel studs if I used the spacers or if I would be able to get away with 1/16th less threads. I guess that would be one turn.
I need to get back on it since this is the closest I have been to done, just been lazy for the last month!
