So they won't cover Sy and Ty's but they will cover the RTs'

I just opened the new sport truck and what do I see but coverage of the Dodge RT nationals. I can't believe that sport trucks will go and cover the slow ass Dodge RT's but will never show up to any Sy and Ty nationals. That doesn't seem right to me. I would think that it would b more intresting to see trucks that there are only 8000 of in the world and trucks that are going in the 10's rather then trucks like the RT's (look there goes another RT) that you see all the time and aren't really that fast. I am not trying to cut on the RT's at all they are nice trucks, my firend has one with a powerdyne blower and all done up, but I smoked him in my stock sy the first night I got it and he was pissed. I just don't understand why nobody will give our trucks any exposure and why they won't put us in there magazines. It just doesn't seem right to me

On the same note look at how many were made.

They will sell a whole lot more magazines to slow dakota owners to see if their stock RT made the magazine than they would to our crowd.

See if they cover the S-Series Nationals, hell call them, email them or write them and give them the down low on the SyTy nationals and they may at least mention it in their mag.
Doubt they show up, but at least get it listed in the calendar.

Isn't there someone helping organize the nats contacting all the magazines?

If they have not been told by now I'll bet its too late for them to schedule a crew out there.

I hear you, on your gripe about lack of coverage anyway. I've owned this R/T for 2 years and this is the first time I've seen any significant coverage in any magazine, so don't feel bad. I don't understand the exposure thing either, other than it's simple economics. I guess the market dictates that people like seeing your average everyday full-size all pimped out with 24's and layin' frame instead of down and dirty grassroots motorsports type stuff.

I think the honest truth of the matter is the numbers. Not the performance numbers, but the number of Dakotas on the road. With a large number of them on the road - they are generating more interest from the aftermarket part suppliers. These same aftermarket parts suppliers are actually the ones that dictate what gets into magazines and pay for the advertisements that keep the magazines in business.

Just in case you like videos....... here's a couple of Dakotas running down the track. Mine (the white one) is turbo'd, the black one is Vortech'd.

The video was taken at the Truckin' Nationals. Unfortunately I didn't see any SyTys there.
