[/size]#002 was suppose to be a Barrier test vehicle. I think it became a Chassis / Transmission Development truck, I believe it was scrapped.
#003 I believe it was scrapped.
#004 I believe it was scrapped.
#005 I believe it was scrapped
#006 I believe it was scrapped
#011 I believe it was scrapped
#013 I believe it was scrapped
#014 I believe it was scrapped
#016 Scrapped
#017 Crashed in Barrier Test
#019 Gm still owns this truck, PPG Pace Truck
#020 GM sold it at auction 10/18/2004
#021GM sold it at auction 4/12/2005 ?

.

All verified and matches what I have. I edited it to the dates, and data I have. #002 is assigned to GM powertrain development. #17 shows tag under NHSA so it's a crash dummy. #19 is going to be sold "soon" and you didn't hear that from me.

I have some data to post in PDF format. Can it be done?

p.s Did you guys think I forgot about ya? lol I told you it was alot of stuff.

Elvis-

Can you verify the VIN for #19 for us?

Thanks.

This truck is stored at the Heritage Warehouse, with Typhoon #2200

Also, to my knowledge..no truck was actually SOLD at auction 10/18/04. According to Scott Settlemeyer, it was pulled at the last minute. The same truck appeared and sold 4/12/05

Interested to see what you come up with

Thanks

yep - the guy with the most money.

Actually i've been thinking about this and as cool as it would be to own the PPG. It would be very hard to drive. Heck i'm afraid of driving the marlboro and getting hit. My fear would be driving the PPG and the roof cracking or getting sun damaged. It already happened once to the roof and i can't imagine what it would cost to fix that or shall i say replace that. Other then that everything on the PPG would be very easy to duplicate. So heck i think Adam should make his own using his truck. All he would need is wilwood front brakes, chassis stiffeners and that really cool tailgate fuel cell set up on the rear and your done.

Yeah, im right on it.
Then again... Ive driven the PPG, so I guess Im alot closer than anyone else at the moment.

For the time and money spent to replicate the entire truck, might as well just invest and buy the real thing. If you've never seen the PPG in person, pictures do that truck absolutely no justice as far as Syclones go.

excuse me... gotta go watch some unreleased vid footage of the PPG now...

Re: SyTy Secrets, REVEALED!

ah, i thought i had read somewhere, a long time ago, that when GM did decide to sell it, that "X" person had first dibs on it and if they didn't want it, it would go on the market.

rumor has it i may have been on that list - but i'm out of money so that rules me out

Excellent....conveniently drop my name in their ear. I have some extra dough and would love to keep that Sy in the community just because it is a one of a kind truck. Then I could park it beside my Syclone and watch them both sit and mature together :).

most of these vin's will not show up since they go off the system after 10 years unless they have an open recall on them
