Louisville, KY to Savannah, GA 669 miles. 12 hour ride but I'll be there.

Lets see if you can drive your truck that far, race it in 100 degree weather, then drive it that far home again :tup::tup:

If there is no Nats for 2010 I would like to drive the truck down for this meet. I like the idea of doing it every other year so people can make some of the "regional" shows. Get a better chance to get to know some more people.

Would this be like a mini - nats where it lasts a couple days? This year for work we were able to carry over less vacation time and I burned a bunch up doing nothing. So next year I am looking for events like this to burn a week of vacation on rather than just taking it and staying home (of course i get more done on the truck those weeks).

It looks like its almost exactly the same distance for me as BG without the mountains to contend with. Plus if you guys do it that time of year it wont be near as hot. So yea, if there isnt a Nats for 2010, Ill plan on coming to GA.

No Nats in 2010 and most likely the next nats will be way out west in 2011. The Shindig is a blast. A little less planned/hectic as nats but plenty of fun.

BTW I have driven my truck that far and raced it before. '04 & '05 nats in KC and Jeff Scott took it to nats in '03 also in KC. It is a great feeling to know your Sy can be fast and dependable. Welcome to the club & Hope to see lt again at the shindig 2 electric bugalo.:tup:

I knew you wouldnt have any problems running your truck that far, just teasin' a little :tup:

Why would they move Nats way out west? I think west coast guys need to organize something like this Shindig for the West Coast People for 2010 on the Nats "Off year".

Either way I hope there is another meet sometime at BG I liked that place but i will definitely need a good meet on the non-nats-year! East Coast Baby :rotf:

wow, so this is awesome to see so many people outside the Southeast area willing to make it. Guess we'll start to update the site and filling in the blanks with a loose schedule of things to do and whatnot.

Please note, at this moment, we have nothing planned and the dates are tentative for Nov. 2010, but with this type of motivation Im seeing from everyone, it'll help get the ball rolling and the planning started.

FL guys - For anyone who did not goto Nats (without valid excuse who I've talked to already), I best see you at Shindig. No excuses. You have plenty of time prep your trucks, save up vacation/sick time, and tell your family/friends that your going.

Not making Nats, this gets me enough time to get a job, get the truck running, and convince the lady.

I'm gonna burn up a little money on the sy by then, hopefully be chasing down hood and Dobrik in the autoX. I need to do a 4l80E on the cheap... willing to assemble everything. This 700 is unhappy downshifting on the highway now, and I'd like to be able to beat the snot out of the trans without worrying.

Okay, just to answer some questions and clear up some things.

1) - Unless something changes, there will be no NATS in 2010. Homecoming and the Shindig will occur then, with NATS resuming in 2011. To my knowledge, this 2 year rotation of events will continue for the foreseeable future.

2) - There is an 1/8 mile dragstrip in Newington (Savannah River Dragway) but the drive is around 45 min. We could easily do this (esp. if we rented the track for Saturday), but just so everyone knows....it ain't next door.

3) - Again....this is all tentative. If something better arises, we'll consider it equally.

Already put the dates in my phone, marked on the calander, and gave notice at jobs i might not have next year. I'm not missing anything else!
