Get this...its a funny story, but its worth posting on here for you guys, a guy i know works for a repo company and they repo'd a typhoon that a guy had put into a guardrail fairly softly, then defaulted on. so my friend who works for the company and repo's this truck likes it, and buys it from the repo company for like, $500. he has his fun with it, doesn't mash it up at all, then has a seizure, finds out he cant drive, and trades it to me for a "91 cr250 i'd traded for for like, $800 the month before. After a nightmare of DMV trips i got it in my name, replaced the fuel pump, put all the sheet metal back on the front end for now, till i replace what needs to be done and paint it... runs and drives perfectly. mind you, its in somewhat rough shape cosmetically, the front drivers fender is done, the front bumper is torn up a bit, the drivers front wheel arch ground effect is torn up a bit, and the rear arch on the drivers side and the piece in front of the wheel well to the door is done. other than that, and a really bad fake hood scoop on the hood, the rest of the sheet metal is good, its a bad black paintjob over the original teal, and reallllly bad chrome rims...but its definately a worth project as it drives really nicely, and the interior is in decent shape...Its got a sunroof???? which to the best of my knowledge has to be aftermarket. #156 for 1992, its got a funky little computer under the dash that does something, turns the ignition off, turns the boost off for a valet mode, and messes with the timing for different boost and fuel types....i'm not sure....if anyone knows anything about #156, i'd love the info..i'm scrambling to fix sealing issues with the sunroof, the motor seized up and i cant find any info to replace it, so the work begins to get the thing squared away before water damage to the leather...

I'm up here in washington, in Port Angeles...I do like the teal, i was probably going to go full teal, instead of the two tone teal with grey cladding that it had... I'll try and find the pics that i have of when i found it... I didn't know what it was until i pulled the tarp off of it and saw the engine, the front end, and fenders were off and in boxes. he initially said he had a good running blazer that needed a fuel pump, I dont think he knew what he had. As soon as i saw the intake, and the interior, i knew what was up. when i saw it i had the motorcycle there in a couple of hours and the truck on a flatbed headed for my mechanic. It took about $1k to get it back together in running and driving condition...i've got everything but the rear drivers arch cladding, if anyone knows where to get one give me the heads up.
Ever since i read the original issue of Car and Drivers where they put a syclone against a ferrari, i wanted one of these. Not cheap to work on though, apparently they were a popular tuner rig then everything was discontinued or people stopped carrying stuff for them.

great score man.. wish I had that kind of luck

best thing you can do is search and read this entire forum.. all the info you could ever need is or has been posted here.. and that chip is most likely an ultimate which if you do a search you'll see if the most desired off the shelf chip so you've got a decent start there i guess

and those wheels have got to be one of the worse style's ive ever seen used on sytys

Nice find, post up pics when you can. If it was 2 tone make it 2 tone again.

I'm not gonna disclose any other details about the former owner other than this: I'm pretty sure this vehicle was involved in a few nefarious deeds before i came into it...ran some things around town that the law would have loved to have gotten their hands on, if you know what i mean.
