SyTy's suck

Re: SyTy's suck

Welcome aboard. Lots of good advice given on here but take some with a grain of salt. Not ALL SyTy's suck. I have 2 Syclones and 2 Typhoons.....all run (very well I may add) except the Aspen Ty and I just rolled in with a 99 Camaro Z28 that caught a fire hydrant in the PS door. The LS1 w/auto tranny will soon be propelling the Aspen. They are great vehicles if you maintain them; you sound like you have time under your belt so we probably won't contribute much you don't already know. All the best in your search. I am sure in the $7-8000 range, you can secure a nice condition, dependable Syclone!!!

Thanks for all the leads. Following up on a couple and working with some other people. CL needs a nationwide search function. It's a pain going city by city lol.

Re: SyTy's suck

Well, I'm getting close! After several leads, I can reasonably post a little more on what I am looking for. This is based on several Sy's that I've seen listed or just missed out on.

-syclone (obviously :p )
-running/driveable condition. can be non-op because of smog due to upgrades. not an issue
-can be stock
-no major rust underneath. prefer summer or west coast cars
-have found several with upgraded turbo, manual boost controller, downpipe, and/or suspension
-$4-5k range
-not an issue if it's slightly disassembled and requires 1-2hr of work to put back to running condition

I'm still talking to some people, and have just missed out on a couple Sy's that fit this exact description. Soooo close! I'll get there soon. Thanks for the help, and if you have something that fits the description feel free to PM me.

edit: I don't mind faded paint, dings, average interior. cash on hand.
