i think one of the 500+ ci twin turbo engine is what you need.....take it to somewhere between 18 and 22 hundred hp........and who cares if you have to run race gas......... don't really think you plan on taking this truck to mall anyways.

I am still not sure what your goal is besides running low 10's to begin with. If it was me I would rather spend my my money building 383 forged motor, it would cost half as much as those motors, put on a good sized Turbo, it would more than enough HP to run easily 9's with traction. You could withe rput teh rest of the money towards a fuel injection or toward the turbo. Depending on your HP goal you could chose whether or not to use a production block or not. (I am not even sure what SBC will hold with a factory block, because it was always more than enough for my 500hp street driven goals) You could apply the same principal to LS1 as well. If you are going to use forced induction, you probably need a new cam, pistons and maybe even rods for crate motor posted above.

IMHO Dave is quite right. Jon Huber`s 4 Banger Street Driven Turbo Mustang runs 8`s

so a big block isnt needed if you simply want to run 10s in a SoGT/S-10.
