Re: 10 years 8 years last month. It had just under 50,000 miles and now it's just under 100,000. Mostly stock and very reliable. I have not been able to stop the rust though.

Re: Noob gauging interest - Exhaust If you have a stock turbo, just make sure you have a cat. Don't gut it or replace it with straight pipe.

Re: best turbo? I have a TD06 10cm housing I put on my stock turbo when my cat clogged up and I removed it. I think a TD06H 10cm, TD06 12cm, and TD06H 12cm all exist, but I'm not 100% sure.

Re: K&N directly on turbo You can run it to a catch can, and that's what you should do. Right now, both of my lines are right where they were, just open instead of connected to the air box and cross over pipe. Both lines are still dry after driving it some, so I think I'm just going to run...

Re: K&N directly on turbo Damn man, my bad. Since the 1260 and the 1700 are the same size except for being cone vs cylinder, I thought the angle on the neck would make it fit better. Will get pics of the 1260 on the turbo tuesday.

Well my cross over tube is cracking again after attempting to fix it, so to get rid of it I just got a k&n R1260 and put it straight on my stock turbo. Touches the heater hose and the radiator shroud, but it fits. K&n says the inlet ID is 2.25" / 57mm, and I measured the the od of the turbo at...
