make sure you got your plug wires in the right order.
i bet you screwed up and have some of them swaped.

I know this post is as old as hell but my truck has the same problems. It can idle fine but it doesn't build power and the throttle response is horrible. I have basically replaced everything Capt. Morgan has replaced. Whatever happened with this truck? Did you ever find the problem or did you sell it?

Oh yeah, problem was fixed easily, turned out #2 and #4 wires were crossed if I remember correctly, its been so long. I did eventually sell the truck and it was sold once more after that, no clue where it is today.
