This turned out to be a real informative post. It should be put in the vault. SO, is there a PN or just tell them the application??

Motomite part # 16662

LBC AUTO PARTS @ 1-800-382-1322

Everyone who needs one should call and order so that they see the demand to keep making them.
$36 is nothing compared to $200+

Phooner I owe ya a beer at Nats.
But you gotta be present to win.

I called LBC and ordered 3 the day I posted above.
She (Beth?) told me a 10-14 day lead time and my CC would not be billed until they ship.
Well its not on my statement yet, but I'll let you all know if/when mine ship.

I did call LBC. I had my order all placed and she called me back the next day to tell me that it was on back order till febuary??

Its too shorrt I already tried it. The shifters are different part #'s also. I think it would be a go if the cable was longer but the disance from the shifter to the tranny on the Vette is much shorter. Our cable is 40" I think, could be 43", and the Vette is 29-30".

I swear there is a curse on me with these things. I was fartin around with the bracket and ended up breaking it again. Called yesturday and they gave me the back order story. But this is good cause this means that they are seeing demand for them nad are producing them again.

So I can call and order one from LBC. I just had the tranny replaced and noticed it is pretty hard to shift, especially if I pull it down into the lower gears. I was going to try to lubricate it some, but maybe i should go ahead with the new cable.

were u able to get clip #7 back into place with the new cable? It was somewhat different than the stock cable and didn't want to force it?
