Re: Project Garnet Resto

Looks awesome! I'm ready to come over and supervise the reassembly :rotf: (or I could turn some wrenches)

Re: Project Garnet Resto

Was under the truck today moving some wiring around. I don't know if it'll ever hit the road. I really don't want to clean this.

I don't blame you. That looks sweet and after one drive, will never look that good again.

SHOW TRUCK!!

Re: Project Garnet Resto

Been busy thrashing on the bucket trying to get it as ready as can be for Nats. Won't be running, but it'll at least look complete from the outside. Still lots to figure out under the hood.

Got most of the cladding on tonight. When putting on the left fender cladding, I noticed 3 of the 6 tabs were missing. While installing, 2 more broke off, then 5 mins later, shortly after taking this pic, the last 1 broke and it fell off. Not a happy camper right now. Going to try to get it fixed as much as I can so it'll at least stay on during Nats. Don't think I trust 3 "fixed" tabs to hold it on once at highway speed and beyond, so probably going to need to find a new one and hope the painter can match the paint. Unless someone has a destroyed piece of cladding and is willing to sell me just the tabs.

Why will it not be running? Do you need us to get it running at Nats? We can prolly do that.

Looks amazing BTW.

Still too much to do. Still need exhaust made, upper intercooler made, brake system (want to go hydroboost), new charge pipe made, radiator and fans sourced, Holley ecu and harnesses (being delivered by Jeff and Hood at Nats), and several small items. If the painter would have finished it on time, it would have been running. I didn't have a job in June, and had all kinds of free time I could have been working on it, and it would be running. But, I went back to work on July 8th, and havent' had near as much free time since. Oh well.
