I think you should paint a couple small roses on the truck. That way Harmons claim that his shit smells like roses might be valid.

Re: Simple Syclone Rebuild

I FINALLY got back out working on the Sy. Little ole' me and the bed bolts didn't get along so well, took a while to get the SIX bolts out (of course two were missing).

The bed still sits on the truck, hopefully today I can finish the job. I have to take the cladding and such off the Sy trailer as that bed is going on my truck, little bed swap. Not too much longer and all will be ready for paint.

Re: Simple Syclone Rebuild

Heh, all you need is seven more donations and you'll be all set :)! I see that you got one of my block off plates when you bought Mark's truck. If you need to use any of my engraving skills, I can do anything ya want. Since you are going to be a "syty sweetheart" of sorts on here, I will do it for free...

I am so sorry I missed this! Harmon told me something about it but I never saw the comment in the thread ..... THANK YOU  Better late than never right ? :rotf:

Re: Simple Syclone Rebuild

Great job so far Mandi! How bad were the motor mount and bellohousing bolts to get out? Last trans I pulled from an S10 (96) ended up being a PITA because of the top two bolts. Did you end up jacking the cab up? Just curious as to the painless way to do it when I have to pull the engine on the Ty. Can't wait to see it done!

Thanks for the  Actually the trans was missing 2 out of 6 bolts when I pulled it the first time. I can actually reach all the bolts, one is kinda hairy on the passenger side. That one took two extensions a swivel and an air ratchet. When I unbolted it the second time to pull the motor I could get them all by hand (one was missing still on the driver's side). I didn't jack it up or anything but I'm also able to stick my hands down in there and get to the bolts. So honestly if you have a wife/GF/mother/sister or aunt, ask them to grab those hairy ones for ya:tup:
