    Needed not available parts?

Re: Needed not available parts? Not a necessary part by any means but I would like to see the "skid plate/air deflector/belly pan/thingy reproduced. I spoke with Mr. King about getting it made out of CF but he needs an original to make a mold first. The console lid with hinge would be another...

    Flipped truck

Re: Flipped truck That was AWESOME! Glad you're not hurt. I would love to run at a track. Any idea how fast you were going at the end of the straight? From the video it doesn't look like you steered into the skid much, I think if you had got it straightened out it might have made it to the...

    Auto shifting or manual ?

Re: Auto shifting or manual ? I'm not sure I understand the benefits of trying to manually shift. Is the thinking that it would be easier on the trans? That would be fine and dandy, but what about the engine? I can't speak for everyone but I've noticed that the first shift comes real quick when...

My Syclone finally at the track

Re: My Syclone finally at the track Great times on 14psi! Did you build the 2003 engine or use it just as you got it, compression ratio, pistons, rods, mains?

    L-35 heads.

Re: L-35 heads. Vortec Pics of my L-35's. These are off an SGT. I'm having them pocket ported. My engine guy said he doesn't like the vane but has never completely removed one. HUGE difference between these and Vortecs. If I was going for all out power then it's a clear choice for Vortecs...

    boost problem.

Re: boost problem. Wiring the wastegate shut is not a good idea with a suspected boost leak. That would just let it spin up without any means to control the rpms, and if there is a leak your turbo is already going to be spinning close to its limits.

Re: Street Tire PSI Question Update? Did you try different pressure, and were there any gains? How were your times compared to the previous runs on the stock size tires?

transfer case issue im pretty sure

Re: transfer case issue im pretty sure I thought the rears could be spun without the fronts, basically overpowering the VC. When a VC fails doesn't it lock front and rear together like a 4x4?

maybe a silly question about gears and transmissions...

Re: maybe a silly question about gears and transmissions... If you're trying to calculate diff gears by speed and rpm why not just pull the diff cover and know for sure. Just a side note, when doing this calculation is the TC locked?

Re: tune up from hell. now i need help I've crossed a couple plug wires before just changing plugs. Very easy to do when doing a complete ignition tune up, never hurts to re-check firing order.

    Sy 1028 at Muncie (timeslips)

Re: Sy 1028 at Muncie (timeslips) This was at US 41 dragstrip in Morocco Yes I tempted fate on Friday the 13th and all is well! This track is a 2 hour drive from me. Temps were mid 60's giving me IAT's of 85* at the line rising to 98* at the finish. I still had 2 to 3 degrees of KR even with...

    CA Sy 1450 Graphics alert

Re: Sy 1450 Graphics alert Sy's do use standard 4x4 frames, not disputing that, but the crossmember is specific to SyTy's. Standard ones are round, ours are square. My thought was why would someone just change just the crossmember. That with the info that the truck had been totaled more than...

    CA Sy 1450 Graphics alert

Re: Sy 1450 Graphics alert I might be wrong but the tranny crossmember looks like a standard 4x4 S truck unit. I wouldn't be surprised if it has had a complete frame swap.
