She's here. First of all Id like to thank Joe Keller for handling the sale like a true gentleman and enthusiast. It wasn't the easiest thing to do, but in the end it worked out. He got his money to help his family, and I got the TY of my dreams. And what an unbelievable truck it is. You guys were not wrong in all that was said about this truck. SUPER CLEAN. Compared to that POS I had last time, this is a machine. Everything works as it should, it shows perfectly for a 23 year old truck, in and out. I am (so far) VERY pleased with my purchase and can't wait to show her off Sunday at the meet!! She's ready to go straight off the hauler, wash and ride. And I wish Joe and his family all the best going forward and promise them they will see her again. 1 of 28. 1 of 16 with the rack. Paperwork and documents, even the window sticker. Money well spent, and it shows. If you want a good one, pay for it. I will post pics later as I'm dead tired from a long day. Also HUGE thanks to this community for always being there when a fellow member needs help. That's what makes it work. Truth, honesty, and a little insanity. Thanks to Nickel for his time and effort on that "other" truck. I got the right one finally. Now, where do I start...... 😜

Cheers,

Take care of that truck, it really belongs to syty community as a whole as it has been part of the group for many many years.

Consider yourself the honor of being the temporary caretaker.

Joe is a standup guy for sure, I have no doubt anything he told you about the truck was true and nothing at all hidden in the transaction.

Thanks guys!!! Didn't sleep much knowing it was out in the driveway. I own Mr. Mikes Auto Coach in Montclair, NJ. That's her new "home". We are a family owned, full service auto body shop since 1971. So she will be up on that big lift by 8 for a thorough inspection. Hopefully, since this truck is so clean/stock, it won't be on that lift too often...

If you ever cut off the long pipe, that truck will cease from running. Something to think about.

Hopefully he didn't bump the price up too much due to the fact I drove it once. Easily the cleanest Typhoon i've driven.

Thanks Bryan! I appreciate all of the kind words from you guys. I've had several people try to buy her in the last year but all of the deals fell through for some reason. I really feel like she was supposed to be yours to enjoy now.

Jeff (TwinTurboV8Ty) is right. I've always felt like she really belongs to SyTy community as a whole. I was just the caretaker for the past 12 years. Now it's Bryan's turn. I know he'll treat her well and make sure she is well preserved for whoever is next.

...and like Adam (SYO237) said, they'll all give you a hard time about the long pipe but I think it's like Sampson's hair. If you cut it off, she'll lose her strength.

So it wasn't by choice.

...Bryan....I forgot to mention that it (along with a few other select trucks) got to sit inside the National Corvette Museum during the SyTy Nats one year.

Re: Aspen #0261 has a new home!!

Hey guys.....It breaks my heart to tell you that Bryan's long fight with cancer has ended with his passing. Typhoon 0261 was very special to my family. It was my gift to Christina on our first anniversary. Right after being born, both of my kid's very first car ride was in the aspen Ty. I prayed about selling it and part of my prayer was that the right buyer would come along and that it would be a blessing to that person. Bryan didn't tell me that he had cancer until after we made the deal but I knew he was supposed to have it. I hope it made his final days on this earth brighter. His brave fight was an inspiration to us all. His family will be in my prayers. R.I.P. Bryan.

At 37 years old? Jesus. RIP Bryan. I hope you had some fun out of the truck and your short time with the forum.

Condolences to Bryan/s family at this difficult time.

Re: Aspen #0261 has a new home!!

If there are any pictures of Bryan and his truck I think they should be posted in a special section for all of those who have loved a syty and have moved on so that we can remember them and their trucks....let's create a place for them here on syty.....so that we can reminisce with them again. My condolences to Bryans family.....I know he's up there in a Typhoon and doing a max psi boost launch as angels wave the flags.....Rest in peace Bryan!

I knew it was close but not THIS close. He contacted me last year about buying my Aspen and informed me of his situation with cancer but I couldn't part with mine. Told him about yours and he jumped on it and was thoroughly elated. This was the one vehicle (an Aspen Typhoon) he always wanted to own and I am glad he got to enjoy #0261 for a bit before his departure.
