Re: my small project

Sorry to hear about the diabetes Gary...that runs in my family too :( Let me know if you need help with those fuel lines. I did my entire tranny cooling system with braided line and AN fittings. I'm your biggest fan now since my 11-second truck is going to be dead for a long time (argh).

Re: my small project

fuel lines seem strait foward. (famous last words)
Got my cat and fan controler too. Gives me something to do while I wait for my other stuff.

#434 is dead??? Sounds like sy's in the bay are dieing fast. I know of 4 and only 1 is running good.
"note to self....26lbs of boost is bad for stock bottom end"

I've got the 90 but it looks like you got some kinda weird flex section going on as well?

Re: my small project

its a plastic 45. I now have a nice SS one. Search e-bay. You can find all kinds of fittings and elbows for what you need.

Re: my small project

my exhaust parts came in today from RPM. They look great. Cant wait to install them. I was told they start out shiny but get dull after using them. As long as it keeps the heat down I am happy. Also had a lip welded on the TB to keep the coupling on better. Thanks Mike and RPM.

Gary, that really sucks about having diabetes, same thing here, it runs in my family. It's good to see that you are making some good progress though, I can't wait to see your truck running.

Oh ya and the coating on those manifolds make them look SICK!

My grandma died from it. Dad has it too. I hope to have it running in a few weeks. Hows your Sy going? Pull the engine yet? LMK if you need help.

Re: my small project

Yes, I sent rpm my stocks. I had the turbo coated too. That should be at my house tomorow. You would have to e-mail Mike Lee at RPM for the correct amount. It was around 400 I think for manifolds, x-over and turbo housing. Not sure because I bought a lot of stuff from him at one time. Even the x-over clamp was coated :D

BTW...whoever at GM who designed the engine pad bolt layout on the drivers side should be shot. took me 25min to tighten the 3 bolts.

Re: my small project

Mike Lee fixed the cover for me. It just needed to be slanted in a bit.

Re: my small project

I have a big weekend ahead of me. Going to intall the TCI controler, fuel lines, reinstall upper intake, TB, A2A, Trans cooler and lines, starter, front shaft.... put the fluids back in the truck and prime the engine. Everything but the DP and turbo. Should be fun.

Re: my small project

Any reason to why you are not running the rear power steering bracket? I am thinking of ditching my too. You have truck #411 in the east bay and I have truck #401 in the peninsula. Kinda cool. Almost like brothers. I just got to get un-lazy(that even a word?) and make mine run. Engine is looking might good!

Re: my small project

Trans computer is installed. Put it in the center storage because I dont use it. And it made it easy to fish the wires down to the trans and over to the ecu. 4L80e intall is almost complete
