Time for another update. All of the floor boards are down now, shelving is built, and we are just about ready to have the concrete poured.

Wow that is very cool, I am working a piece of land to put a shop up, but it will not be 100 x 70... man that is cool. I love to see a good fasha/son project like this, putting an old building to great use.

Welded a piece of 3" C channel to the beam on the side of the pit. The concrete will finish with the top of the C channel:
Here is the pit opening ready for concrete:
Added some overhead storage. This will have a finished drywall railing so that you can't see all of the junk that will be stored up there:

Thats awesome.. It looks like it was that person's first time ever driving a car. We've had a pit at my parents farm for years now and never had an issue. We have a mirror up front so that you can see where your wheels are. I'm sure we'll hang a mirror here as well..

The pics make it look small and dark... Its 100'x70'.. Ceiling is 16' to the lowest part of the beams..
