So I figured I might as well start a thread now that progress will be made soon, hopefully. If the motivation dies, selling it to Harmon
A little background. Bought '93 Ty #1473 back in July of '04. Put about 6k miles on it up till March of '05 when it started leaking oil from just about everywhere it could leak oil from. The whole underside of the truck was soaked, which is a far cry from the bone dry underside like I had purchased. Decided to pull the motor, and go through it all, and go for a slight build. Well, I decided I'd pull the fenders off of it. That should make it easier to pull the motor, right? Wrong, I had to cut the fenders off. Decided new paint on the fenders, along with 70k mile faded paint on the rest of the truck wouldn't look so hot. So stripped it all down, getting it ready for a repaint. Dropped it off at my body guy that had done some work on my race car and did a restoration paint on my dad's #'s matching '70 Chevelle SS. It sat outside of his garage for 6 months without being touched when I decided to take it back home. Sat in my dads barn for a couple years before I finally moved it back to my house a couple years ago. 5 years later, I'm finally starting to get the motivation to work on it again. Had a baby in Feb, so I'm done racing for a few years. Might as well spend my money on this money pit instead.

It does have a bit of rust around back window, on tailgate, and passenger door. Door might need a new shell, don't know yet. Plan is to pull the body off the frame so the frame and get stripped and coated. Motor wise, not sure yet. Depends on money. Hoping in the end to have a mid to low 11 second truck. The body is my main concern now. Once that's out of the way, I can put the interior back in and at least sit in a halfway complete truck again.
