Re: Finally!
Keep it stock. Keep it the correct color (Garnet). Join our group
here. (Shameless plug for my 'Social Group' that suffers from Stagflation).
Tune for the expensive fuel if you must, be be warned that this DOES increase stress in the engine, and WILL affect reliability, even if done correctly. The learning curve with these is steep, and costly. Search using the keyword "Datamaster" and you'll get an immediate idea of what you're in for.

X2 on that, Dave knows what he's talking about.
There are only 15 Garnets to be claimed, and with the original paint job you have is a great thing! Not many fully stock Ty's left around, so I'd keep it bolt on only, and keep all original parts in hand. In addition, when I bought my 1st Ty nines years ago, There was a college kid in town who owned 2 of them. He said he learned his lesson on running the first one hard, and the second one he took it easy and had no problems. He said, "If you run 'em hard, they go to shit real quick" and the owner I bought my 2nd Ty (who owned 3) said: "let the turbo warm up and cool down for long drives, keep boost launching to a minimum, and keep up on maintenance, you'll have no problems." I myself, have followed this advice since, and with only boost launched a handful of times over the years, and rolling into the gas instead of WOT, I've had no issues or problems. They are still fun to drive, as they are "swift" when easing into the pedal at certain speeds. Watch out for pot holes, etc, as the rims bend easy, keep it out of the salt and snow, as it can get behind the cladding and rust.
There's a great community here full of helpful info and advice, In addition here's a link to the Archives that includes the web ring for all things syty.
