Party in a box!
Started getting our ducks in a row.....The countdown has begun!

Picked this beauty up today......Need to fix some lights on it and put some toolbox's on it. Also need to install a new wench and a spare tire.

Then make sure all the bearings and brakes are good.

Then its time to make the trek to kentucky!

Re: Prepping for nats!

Im bringing my ty and sy. The third spot on the trailer is reserved for MRKING's sy. Supposedly this trailer will haul 4. But we dont want to push it.:D

If there's an award at Nats for "Getting the worst gas mileage on the way there" I think you're gonna have that one in the bag! LOL.

Hell yeah!....Im guessing 8-10 miles to the gallon. But im still gonna save money on fuel if i was to drive them all up there.(not me drive them at once but ya now what i mean)..lol

It's Gonna be a kick ass weekend!!!

Re: Prepping for nats!

Probably more like 6-6.5 MPG. Maybe less. I'll be curious to know what it really was.

When your all loaded, find a scale to run across if you have the time. Moving companies usually have a scale in the yard, and will weigh you for a nominal fee. Like "beer money" for the foreman. I'm thinking you're going to be between 23,500 and 25,000 lbs with full fuel, and gear for the trip. Definitely don't go over 26,000 unless you have a commercial drivers license. If you get tagged by a DOT dude, they're mother-jeffers if your over 26K.

Don't skimp on tie-downs, and watch for trees and overhangs. We aren't accustomed to looking "up" for obstacles, but it'll be important to do so with that rig loaded.

Good luck,
Dave

Already checked up on the weight, the trailer is around 7400 so we have roughly 18000 to spare. If we get checked by DOT then im just a dumb blonde lol
