Recommendations on a Chrome Diff Cover?

Summit has three selections for the 7.65 Axle. None of which have a provision for a magnetic drain plug.

I tried finding info on the ATR unit (ATR #SY705) but couldn't find it from the typical vendors.

RK Kustom has been out of buisness for years...so I don't know where to look now.

Thoughts?

Someday, I am going to get a TA Girdle (or whatever they call it) Its not chrome (aluminum) but it has some functionality.

I got the ATR.
Any chrome diff cover I would use the black rtv on both sides of your gasket.
Had lots of leaks in the past, but none since using RTV.

ask Detroitturbo, he sells the whole ATR catalog and may just not have the diff cover listed on his site.
Dont like him go to McCoy. He sells ATR as well.

Or you can get a chrome pan and use the B&M drainplug kit and drill your own hole. Cheaper than the ATR. Call Michael Hood.

Re: Recommendations on a Chrome Diff Cover?

I bought a bunch of ceramic magnets from Low's and I epoxy them to the inside of the cover in the lower right side. This catches most of the metal in the rear end. I build a lot of rear ends and I put the magnet in each one of them. I know that you have to remove the cover to clean it, but you probably need to do an inspection from time to time anyway, don't you?

I have the ATR on my Sy.... and after about a year, the chrome was pitted and it now has a very light coating of rust.

And yes, this is taking care of the cover... crawling under the truck, keeping it clean and polished, etc.
