Got a few more things done today. Made the downpipe for the wastegate, trimmed the core support, got the intercooler mounted, and got the turbo connected to the intercooler. We are thinking of finishing the cold side (coming out of the intercooler) in aluminum.
At some point this week we are going to order a bigger radiator and some fans, so that'll be the next step of the project.

there is room for a/c but this wont have it right now. maybe in the future but it would need a new crossover. the sy will be getting it this summer though. the heater-a/c box makes it difficult to have a good downpipe. it makes it easier when you relocate the drier.

It's just an eBay unit. Same size as the one I used in the syclone. Can't remember the size off hand 3x12x?
It does fit perfect in the grill though. I line them up just right to so that the tubes of the intercooler line up with the bars on the grill

Sorry for the lack of updates. Eviltwin and I have been quite busy lately. We did get a bunch of the wiring finished 2 weekends ago. Wiring isnt super exciting to look at, so didnt really get too many pics.
Didnt do work last weekend, but this weekend we should have a nice update. We have a big box of stuff coming from summit real soon. Were starting to close in on go-time!

Hey guys,
Made some progress over the last few weekends. Pretty much handled the wiring, got the radiator positioned (but not mounted in yet), sprayed and wrapped the headers. Still need to get the aluminum intake tubing welded and mount the BOV.
The next big project we are going to tackle is making some sold engine mounts, changing the tranny mount, and making a new cross member for the tranny. Also we need to tackle the inner fenders. They are going to need a good amount of modding to be able to fit around the turbo stuff.
Its looking like next weekend is going to be pretty busy, so we shall see how much work we can get done... So much to do, so little time!
Anyways, here are some pics of the progress. Enjoy!

Looks good! Did I miss it, or did you state whether or not the pistons are stock? How much boost are you planning to run? My Sierra is a stock 6.0 and most will tell you 10psi is pretty safe with good tuning. I need to get back to the dyno but I run 5-7psi with meth spraying and so far have had no problems. Don't want to jinx you, but the LS based engines seem to hold up rather well to boosted applications. Good luck!!

stock short block. we will be running around 8psi. no meth but our compression is lower with the 317 heads. my friend is running 15psi on the same setup as ours with no meth and a spot on tune. thats alittle too risky for this build though

Yeah, I would rather be safe than sorry! I was going to run 8psi but the guy that did my tune said 10psi on a stock engine is fine, and he has TONS of tuning experience on these engines. I still have to get back and do the 10psi tune. I have an STS kit on mine, with meth and a frame mounted intercooler. Your truck should fly!!!

Got some good work done last weekend. Woulda posted the update sooner, but was swamped at work all week.
We made some solid motor mounts and got them installed. We figured this would be a better route, since our clearances are pretty tight in spots. The rubber mounts are perfectly good, so if anyone wants to buy em, send Eviltwin or I a PM.

Also, I have been wondering what a white/white Ty would look like with those rims in black and I it looks sick! Then again, I like black rims.
