The bulb check should require that the CEL (MIL) illuminate and then turn off when the key is places into the run position. The bulb staying on during bulb check is a great indicator that something is amiss to state inspectors, at least that's what I taught them. ;)QUOTE]

The check engine light must be on and stay on with the key in the run position. That is normal operation. Good luck starting a factory wired truck if the check engine light comes on and goes off with the key in the run position. Now if it's on while the engine is running we all know that means there is a hard fault

Yeah I screwed that post. Depending upon Make and Model, they stay on during KOEO or illuminate for a few moments (like some Chrysler products). Those start just fine that way. A slip up on my part.

We allowed our inspectors to test their own cars. While they could clean pipe, clean scan or just "overlook" something on their own rigs, we never had much of an issue. In addition, If you have enough trust that they will provide an accurate test to the public, how can you tell them you don't trust them to do their own? The really poor inspectors were removed quickly enough through overt/covert tests anyways.

nice build, too bad you couldn't keep the ac. Was it for clearance issues with the firewall, or the low mount compressor? I read this awhile back...and stopped reading all the BS and hating. Glad it's back to the build.

there is room for a/c but this wont have it right now. maybe in the future but it would need a new crossover. the sy will be getting it this summer though. the heater-a/c box makes it difficult to have a good downpipe. it makes it easier when you relocate the drier

^^^^ yep

the ty came with a non a/c heater box so switching that out wasnt first one our list. When it does get a/c it will be a aftermarket setup. When we do, we are going to get a small compressor where the alternator is now and flip the alternator and run it down below opposite of the steering box. as of now the sy will probably never get a/c since we have the ty.

sorry that we havent posted any video, we have been driving it almost everyday and are loving it. Monday we will be putting new radiator fans in it though. I feel as if it is struggling to keep the temps down and we want to get control of that before it starts to get hot.

Well, yesterday we put in some "ramcharger" fans instead of the 2 individual 14" fans. It stays exactly were we want it now. With a 160* stat and the pcm turning fans on at 186* and off at 174* it works perfect so far! We just need to get a front shaft made for this thing and get it to the track

I wanted a new desktop background for the computer, so decided to mess around with the camera yesterday. Thought id post up some of the pics.

I'm no professional photographer, but I would say these are quite a bit better than the iphone pics we usually post. :D

Hope you Enjoy!

Looks killer! Enjoy it, you have put in some work. And it turned out great.

And fwiw, if/when you are ready for more power the stock bottom end will take it. Guy i know is making 800rwhp on a stock bottom end 5.3, hell the only internal mod is a cam. 20#'s & E85 = win, he is a full on "tuner" for LSx and ford motors and has like 150-200 chevy cars/trucks done, and at least 10 fords now. He races a lot, so its not like it makes 7-800hp and never gets to see it.

Love your ty!

Looks really clean!!! I love the white white with black wheels, and the way the red Typhoon and brake calipers pop nicely! It really sets it off:tup:

x2! Can't wait to see some numbers once you get the front shaft installed. Great Job

Love the truck, not trying to be an ass but the back needs to come down just a little or the front needs to go up, too much rake for my taste

Some mashing of the right foot on the peddle will even that problem out. The 5th pic down, it looks like a model car, just looks really small. But I sure like it.

I'm with you on that. I'd like to lower the back 1/2" and raise the front 1/2" but cobra198 likes how it sits so were gonna stick with it.

We were about 15-20ft in the air when we took the pic :) we had about 50 pics from all different angles and heights. These are just a few

Wish JL would make a model of this!!!!

This truck looks awesome! Definitely nice, especially since you finished it in less than two years :)

Back when you were building the headers you mentioned you might go twin turbo in the future n just wondered if you were still conisdering that or if the single you have does good with the motor.
Also this might be a stupid question but are you running a radiator overflow?

Yes we are running an overflow. The twins idea is still there. It would only happen if this motor went and we felt like making abunch more power.
