Finished up a few small things today to get it ready for paint. Removed the last of the cladding brackets and removed the rotted out door that's getting replaced. Should be heading out for paint any day now.

Pulling them once it gets to the painters. There's a small amount of rust on the drivers door and tailgate. The rust on the gate has seemed to have grown over the last couple years. Hopefully won't need to replace it all together.

Yup. Once it gets to the body shop, they'll be pulling the body back off the frame so I can bring the frame back here and install the motor and trans, finish buttoning up the suspension, brakes, brake and fuel lines.

Dropped the Ty off for paint this morning. Don't know if/when he'll have time to pull the body off the frame so I can finish that part up. If not, no biggie. Being told an ETA of 4-5 weeks, but he's usually not on time. As long as I have it by end of May, it'll give me 2 and a half months before Nats, which should be plenty of time. He said end of May won't be a problem, if not sooner. Time to start ordering more parts.

Went and checked on progress today. Body work is done, just has a bit of blocking left, then it's ready for primer. Body is coming off the frame next week so they can strip and paint the underside. Then they'll put it on the dolly and paint the rest.

Just a fyi, the door wiring can be pulled into the body, and pull the strikers other wise they will chip first time you shut the door

The body is coming off the frame this week so I can finish up a few things and so they can paint the underside.
I thought about that, but hadnt brought Iit up with them yet. Plan on making sure they do that though.
